7th grade 8th grade math reading staar testing writing

Stafford will be a closed campus for STAAR testing on April 9th and 10th. Our 7th graders will be taking Writing STAAR on Tuesday, April 9. Our 8th graders will be taking Math on Tuesday, April 9, and Reading on Wednesday, April 10.

  • Please make sure your child is at school on this test date by 8:10 a.m. as we will dismiss the students to go to their testing classroom at this time each day.
  • If at all possible, please do not schedule any doctor, dentist or other appointments on these testing dates before 2:00 p.m.
  • The students will need to bring a sack lunch from home or purchase a sack lunch from the cafeteria on their testing days. Outside lunches or parent visitors will not be allowed on these testing days.
  • We have encouraged the students to bring a jacket as the testing rooms can get cool and to bring a snack that is light and easy to eat. For example; crackers, pretzels, a piece of fruit, or small vegetables.
